UPDATEL Since February 2025, we have received a few inquiries and remain hopeful that our services will be needed and utilized in the year ahead. (January, 2026)

Feb 2025: Within 24 hours after request, we had a crib, mattress and related supplies for local 2 year old boy in need. Other items for neighbors: dresser, blender, bed sheets. Also helped local senior clean out an apartment and redistributed a few items. BB was xonduit connecting gifter of furniture to Trisha - super woman - who helps many families in Albany. 

Jan. 2025: Helped a couple in Slingerlands clear out a storage unit and items went directly to a family in need of the items. Another neighbor provided a trailer to reansport. Received kitchen chairs, small tables, microwave, even a juicer someone newly housed requested. Also accepted donations of pots and pans. Boots for kids.

Dec. 2024: Twin beds for two of Trisha's families! Two young men from West Africa "shopped" at the barn for a dresser, bookcase, shelving, and a new coffee maker :) Someone donated several new mattresses which were moved right along.  Blankets.

Nov. 2024: lamps, utensils, blender, microwave, coffee maker, shower curtain, towels, kitchen chairs. getting time to restock!

Sept/Oct. 2024: Lots of households items, clothes and toys for a Turkish family with a little girl and boy. You rock Trisha!

July-August, 2024: We've been assisting another Ukranian family of late. SEEKING: twin bedframe, coffee table and for the earlier Ukranian family we assisted earlier this year a dryer and a big cast iron pot with lid. The mother is a cook and baker :) Our FB page is more active. See link to the left. 

May-June, 2024: We've been gathering miscilaneous items. Trisha has "shopped" at the barn recently for a family from Turkey. Two families now have gardens at the farm and are harvesting vegetables already, well cucumbers :) 

APRIL 2024: Working now with a refugee agency in Albany. 3 beds for 3 children in about 3 hours. Fingers-crossed the pickups go smoothly. Also we've starting a small gardening initiative :) Pics to follow most likelt to be posted on the FB page.

MARCH, 2024: BB helped a refugee family from Mexico furnish their apartment. The community met their needs over a period of three days :)  

FEB. 2024 - BB helped a Ukrainian refugee family furnish their home in Glenmont. Now we are helping them find clothes. See our post on Buy Nothing Bethlehem or our FB page.

JAN. 2024 - We are 6 months old!

January: Slow start to the year after somewhat of a mid-December - New Years break. 

Helped transport a box spring. Likely our last bed excursion but with help it was managable. 

Collecting items and restocking the barn. 

Looking for free shelving to help organize the barn. 

Volunteers welcome to join us! I know some have expressed interest. Would love to have "muscle" on call for deliveries - if we did we could consider larger items and skip the need to store.

December 2023: working on collecting toys for local family with 3 little girls THANK YOU to Kristin, Nicole, Ashley, Courtney, Lisa, Julie, Sandra, Heather, Helen, Nelly, Lindsey, Hilary, Leah. Delivered furnishings to apartment in Albany. Delivering a few items to J. later this month - recievign donations currently. Donated transport chair to Bethlehem Sr. Services purchased for $25 from our Go Fund Me funds. Thanks D. in TX for the GFM donations :) And thank you Sandy and Marjoire for the GFM funds you just donated!

November: delivered queen bed and frame, ottoman and pots and pans to A.W.

October: delivered kitchen table, 4 chairs; nightstand and small chest of drawers to J.
